The real helper!

I have studied CPCU ARe 144 with this core review Are 144 and I used the review notes and course guide as well.
However, the core review was used primary to review core concepts and to practice story and multiple questions.

The strength of this book is that every chapter is quite intuitive and very well-summarized.
Especially, compare to both review notes and course guide, where most chapters are complicated,
this book absolutely gives you heaps of comfort and pretty easy to get through.
Actually, the Core Review has helped to prepare me for the real ARe 144 exam for sure.

I also like intuitive explanations and outline form of this book and how the author refers exam candidates
to briefly summarized charts and tables to help understanding.

I would highly recommend this Core Review for anyone who is planning to take ARe 144 exam.

A letter P alphabet story. Great fun!

Pigs in Pajamas is a story about Penelope Pig who has a pajama sleepover party. She invites her friends. They eat. They play. They have a wild good time until they become sleepy, plump up their pillows and go to sleep.

The illustrations are colorful and interesting. They were created in paint and photo collage. There is a lot to look at and plenty of P words to find. This book is all about the letter P on every page. You will find sentences like "Penelope's ready with punch, pies and pudding."

This book is advertized for ages 3-7. This is perfect. The little ones will receive an introduction to the letter P and the early readers can use it for successful reading--especially since every word is illustrated. This book is great fun and a wonderful way to learn letters. I only wish she had written books for the whole alphabet, but P is Maggie Smith's only alphabet book.

It's the big night of Penelope's sleepover and she has lots of fun things planned for her friends. They are going to have lots of food, play games and dance the night away, plus they get to wear their pajamas.

This is a cute book with lots of P words on every page. It's fun for the kids but can be a tongue twister for the adults if they aren't careful. Luckily, it has fun alliteration that keeps the kids interest while you are reading it. It's also a great book to work on word and letter recognition with. The illustrations are not only bright and colorful, they are fun.

Overall, Lilly loved this book and she's asked me to read it to her several times. We give Pigs in Pajamas 4 stars.

I gave this book 5/5 stars. I loved the illustrations, they were colorful and inviting. I also really enjoyed the story. I thought it was well written and would be a fun read for any child. It shows the little pigs having fun on a sleepover. Any child who may have fears about a fun sleepover with friends could read this book and get a good idea of the fun that could be had. I would recommend this book for any child.

I should have read this book before going in to college!

I must say this is exactly the kind of book i've been looking for, since I entered architecture school I have been trying to find literature for a good design process applied to architecture. The book covers the architectural design process from start to finish with many helpfull insights into the various stages of the complex design process involved in building. In my opinion, it is a vaery complete book, not just talking about building aspects, but client relationships, cost concerns, while at the same time realizing the diference of the academic and work reality. A must buy in my opinion.

My favorite book about Nirvana. For one thing, it doesn't sensationalize, but it doesn't gloss anything over. Having been active in the Seattle music scene throughout Nirvana's obscurity, fame, and demise, I can vouch for the accuracy of its description of the music community in the late '80s and early '90s and Nirvana's role. And being in a band that's currently climbing the ladder, I appreciated the many lessons this book has to offer about the workings of the recording industry.

Best of all, because this book was written before Cobain's death, it is not tinged with the "isn't this tragic" attitude that permeates many books about Nirvana and Cobain. Instead, the book is vibrant with the energy, excitement, and passion that swept local musicians the day "Nevermind" was released, local audiences in the months after, the U.S, and--lest we forget--the world, during Nirvana's more-than-15-minutes of fame.

Fun read. Blew through it.

Thoroughly enjoyable read about Nirvana's ride to fame. One of my favorite things about the book was that it was written before Kurt committed suicide, so you get a better picture of what things were like for those guys back then, without the colorization of this life-ending event. I believe another reviewer hit it on the bullseye when he said that other biographies paint Kurt too much as a tragic figure, instead of the relatively normal human that he was, because they see his life only through the lens of his suicide. There is a short afterward from the author that comments on the suicide.

A very insightful book about the members of the band. I like that it includes interviews from other people who confirm or disprove some of the stories, or describe them from other perspectives. It's also very meaningful because Kurt Cobain was still alive when most of this was written. What I was disappointed with, however, is just one sentence, in the final chapter (which was added after Kurt Cobain's suicide) where the writer says that not one NIRVANA song ends on a fade-out (what about Negative Creep?!). Considering the writer was a friend and supposedly knew them better than us fans, I'm surprised he's not familiar with their music.

Worth the reading

This is a great read on Nirvana. I've read "Heavier than Heaven" and what's so good about "Come As You Are" is you get to read the quotes by people who weren't included much in Heavier than Heaven. For example, there are many quotes from Kurt's mom which are so good to read. Even Kurt's dad is quoted several times. I guess after Kurt's death, the family decided not to discuss Kurt or at least, go on the record. I can't blame them. I'd want my privacy as well and there's no telling what might happen. People could start accusing the family and you really don't want to open your mouth and set yourself up for trouble. If you want to know of Nirvana, I'd get this book because it is so very good. Great job, Michael.

Erotic all right but a romance?

If you want an erotic love scene, you,'ll find it here. If you want romance and slow development of characters you come to care about, then you won,t find it here. The supporting cast is all stereotypes from the bestial sex craving men who get drunk and pass out to the non-english speaking gondolier who makes all three ride together. No character development at all which is so unlike some of the writer's other books. Two stars for the love scene only.
