About the Author
Hiroyuki Arai is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Yokohama National University. Dr. Arai serves as an associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation. He is the author of five books, over 130 journal papers, and more than 1,000 conference papers. He holds a B.E. in electrical and electronic engineering and an M.E. and D.E. in physical electronics, all from the Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Are you a designer or developer of mobile communication systems? If you are, then this book is for you. Author Hiroyuki Arai, has done an outstanding job of writing a second edition of a book that presents the measurement method from the antenna side of the mobile communication system.

Author Arai, begins with a presentation of the definitions of basic terminology for both narrowband and wideband propagation measurements; and, also presents typical measurement systems and the parameters of measurement. Next, the author deals with the necessary measurement procedures for the mobile phone and mobile terminal antennas. Then, he presents the different kinds of phantoms and the techniques that are used to evaluate the influence of the human body on the antenna characteristics. In addition, the author describes the propagation estimation method for the base station siting for the cellular system; the method of the base station antenna design; and, the measurement method for the base station antenna. Finally, he shows you the principle and the constitution of the fading simulator and MIMO antenna theory and cutting edge measurement method.

This most excellent book is devoted to the theory and technique for the antenna measurements used in mobile communication systems and includes detailed examples for important topics. Author Jason McDonald has been active on the Internet since 1994 and has taught SEO, AdWords, and Social Media since 2009 – online, at Stanford University Continuing Studies, at both AcademyX and the Bay Area Video Coalition in San Francisco, at workshops, and in corporate trainings across these United States. His passion is to take complex marketing topics such as search engine optimization and make them easy-to-understand for small business owners and marketers. His style is practical, hands-on, and fun. This is a true beginners book

This is a VERY basic book for new site owners wanting to get an early and decent introduction to the world of SEO. As a site owner who has been in the industry more then 20 years and in four ventures this book brought me absolutely nothing. On a low watermark note Jason uses PageRank as a benchmark measure, something that has been depreciated officially for years by Google.

I Love Jason's approach to all of this

I've been a fan of his website, have attended a few webinars, and have learned a lot from his knowledge of SEO principles. I got this book to freshen up on some things because word on the street [and the author's] is that this year was a big year in "change" for SEO strategy. It isn't just about content keywords and back links anymore, but a fully integrated circle involving your website's footprint on the internet overall.

This book was just as I hoped it would be. It is not a "how-to" book full of assumed formulas and strategies, but instead a presentation of 1) the mindset you must have, 2) how to "keep up" as things are always changing and 3) is very clear that SEO is an ongoing experiment. At no point does the book ever claim or say, "okay, you're done. your site is now #1!". It's honest, up-front, and in the end, pretty simple.

I highly recommend this title to anyone whose small company/hobby relies heavily on internet traffic and exposure. I plan on utilizing this book often (already have tons of dog-ears in it) and will always keep up with the author's website's happenings and webinars. This guy really knows his stuff - and I've seen increase in my website's exposure over the last two years all thanks to him.

Again, I highly recommend this book to anyone whose business' success relies heavily on internet traffic to their website(s).

Do it yourself SEO - the way to go

SEO is important - especially if you are trying to make money somehow from your website...

This book does a great job helping you do the work required for free SEO
I'm a big fan of the author... Jason not only creates these helpful low-cost books, but always stays on top of the ever changing world of SEO and has webinars and offers classes so you can learn the current 'art' of SEO.
The book takes you through step by step (7 of them) to SEO fitness in an easy to understand way.

My only complaint is that the many screen shot graphics are a bit fuzzy, making them hard to read.

Working against narratives of multicultural triumph, the book shows how texts by Theresa Cha, Susan Choi, Karen Tei Yamashita, Chang-rae Lee, and Maxine Hong Kingston use structures of repetition to foreground moments of social and aesthetic impasse, suspension, or hesitation rather than instances of reversal or resolution. Reading Asian American texts for the way they allegorize and negotiate, rather than resolve, key tensions animating Asian American culture, Repetition and Race maps both the penetrating reach of liberal multiculturalism's disciplinary formations and an expanded field of cultural politics for minority literature.
