Based in Austin, Texas, Witynski and Carr are owners of Joe P. Carr Design, a gallery and design firm specializing in hacienda style, colonial furniture, and architectural elements. They have designed and renovated homes and haciendas throughout the United States and Mexico and have collaborated on numerous commercial design projects, including boutique hotels and restaurants.

Based in Austin, Texas, Carr and Witynski are the owners of Texture Antiques, an interior design firm and gallery specializing in hacienda style, Mexican colonial furniture, and architectural elements. Their design work has been featured in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, and dozens of other magazines and newspapers. Beautiful

I have been to the Yucatan and dream of owning a house there some day. This book transports me back there each time I open it. The photos are beautiful. The writing is interesting. I was excited to order this book and it is now at the top of my coffee table book pile, because it is my favorite to look at.

SAVE YOUR MONEY - BETTER BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE

This is a cute book but it is simply a repetition of the other Carr/Witynski books on Yucatan, Mexican design. It has basically the same photos, features the same architects and promotes the same furnishings that the writers sell. My suggestion is if you have their Casa Yucatan book that will suffice. If you are interested in learning more about Yucatan-Mexican design is to search here at Amazon. You will find a nice selection books at an affordable price. Save your money and pass on this book.
