So much (clean) fun!!

This one is a new favorite for me! Sam(antha) is everything that I wish I could be, but I think I'm more like Colten. She's very spontaneous and full of life. After graduating from college, she has the summer off before she starts her new job in NYC and heads home to spend time with her family. After chauffeuring young Kajsa to a ranch, Sam sits down and makes a bucket list for the summer. What a FUN and creative list! I've tried to make a bucket list before and it just seems boring. Sam isn't afraid to try new things, but she is afraid from varying from her goals and lists.

Her first meeting with Colten the cowboy is hilarious. Colten is much more serious and is content with his life just the way it is. Who needs adventure and fun to change things up? Definitely not him. Sometimes opposites really do attract and two people become a good balance for each other. I love the way their personalities really come to life throughout the story.

I really loved the setting--a ranch in Colorado right during the summer! I love horses, but my youngest is the real horse lover in the family and Kajsa reminds me so much of her. I really enjoyed that aspect of the story--horses, training a wild mustang, ranch life, etc.

There were so many moments that had me smiling, laughing out loud, and just feeling plain old happy. Of course, there were some hard times too, but for the most part, this story is sunshine and rainbows and highly recommended for any and all clean romance lovers!

Content: clean kissing and nothing else of note.

LOVED IT!!

Loved it! Another awesome romance from author Rachael Anderson.
Rachael is one of my favorite authors and this book is a good example of why. Spontaneous Sam's bucket list for the summer includes learning to ride a horse, riding a bull in a rodeo and having a fling with a cowboy. Stick in the mud cowboy Colton McCoy may not seem like a perfect match but when he sets out to help Sam with her bucket list these two opposites may have more in common than anyone thought.
This book contains a wonderfully fun romantic story without any unneeded content. A squeaky clean read that I wholeheartedly endorse and highly recommend.

I feel as if I will be saying the same thing as I did in my previous review but here goes. I loved this book and I loved this series. I think, as I said in my previous review of book #2 that I would have loved a more complete look into the world of the family from book #2, especially our gal. We clearly had a look into the characters from book #1. I would also like to beg for the author to make a book #4. There has to be someone to bring into the mix. This was just a keeper. denise bailey

About the Author
I grew up in Newark, New Jersey, one of six children. I have been married for 22 years. I own a home, and I have two children. I have been at the same job for 24 years. I am the happiest I have ever been and it is all because of the Love that has always been in my life. I attribute all that has happened to me to that Love. None of what has transpired in the last five years of my life has anything to do with any accomplishments on my part. There was always a lot of love in our home as I grew up, but for reasons unknown to me at the time I was always in trouble. I was at the top of my brother-in-law's "Who My Sister Shouldn't Marry" list. I drank alcoholically, gambled, abused drugs and painkillers. I bounced from relationship to relationship. Even after I stopped abusing alcohol and drugs in 1987, my so-called outer troubles stopped, but my self-centered behavior never changed. All I did was substitute one compulsion for another. Although my addiction became more respectable-taking the form of material possessions-I was still trapped, migrating restlessly from one obsession to another. I went to Twelve Step meetings, derived some benefit from them, and then fell away. My loved ones got me into de-tox and rehab programs. But once I was released, the cycle of insatiable craving started all over again. This cycle seemed to work for me . . . until it didn't. And then my life changed - not instantly or magically, but profoundly. I share this change in It's Monday Only in Your Mind: You Are Not Your Thoughts. I discovered that I wasn't dependent upon a substance or activity, but ruled by my ego. My need to reach outside myself for fulfillment was created by a false perception of deficiency. If this sense of lack didn't exist in me, there wouldn't have been a need to reach and grasp. My credentials for writing this book are simply that I live this change each day. My view of life is so different from the way it used to be

Motivating and Inspiring - A MUST Read

The title of the book is clever in itself: It's Monday Only in Your Mind. The power that just the title has alone is enough to make someone want to read this book. For instance, I was telling my roommate about it and soon whenever we saw people frazzled or upset we would relate it to Micheal's teachings: "It's only a bad grade/relationship/mistake in their mind!"

Michael Cupo's message is powerful. He writes openly about how conditioned mind patterns controlled his life for years, and without imposing his views on you, shows how you too are a slave to your own conditioning.

I was sitting in class (I am in college) and my professor was speaking of St. Thomas Aquinas and his teachings. St. Thomas Aquinas's has the view that the world and its people will never be able to achieve peace because their minds are too wild and filled with noise. It is only until after death that the mind can truly become "quiet."

While Thomas Aquinas may have said it first, Michael Cupo says it differently: he says it from the voice of a regular Joe (or regular "Mike" if you will). He delivers an easy to follow, step by step guide on how to be free of your conditioned mind patterns and finally quiet your mind. I guess St. Thomas Aquinas was wrong - you don't have to wait until death for your mind to finally become quiet. Thank you Michael for letting the light and truth shine!

just what I have been searching for

I have been trying to learn more about negative thought patterns-where
they come from and how to stop them for a long time. Plus I want to be my
best self, but I'm not quite sure how to get there. Michael Cupo's book has
the answers I have been searching for and presents them in an easy to read
fashion as he shares insights from his own journey to self discovery. For me,
this book was heaven sent and I am grateful to him for sharing his story.

I knew the author, Michael Cupo, all through grammar school, and high school up until the time I got married and we went our separate ways.

Knowing Michael as well as I thought I did, I waited with much anticipation for the release of this book. But nothing could have prepared me for what I read.

This book is truly eye opening, enlightening and extremely fascinating! The insight that this book has into how the mind works is without a doubt intriguing. Not only do you learn about how Michael's mind worked, but you will learn things about your own life and mind, and why you do and don't do certain things. Everybody who reads this book will learn something, guaranteed. For some this book may be a life changing experience, while others may become a better person just by reading it.

Great for long term exam practice

This is a great book if you are planning on taking Cambridge's Certificate of Proficiency in English. It's a good way to prepare yourself and it's not just exam practice, it's a real coursebook which can be used for long term preparation. It is fairly new and covers the new format of the exam. I would recommend it!

About the Author
John Maeda is Sony Career Development Professor of Media Arts and Sciences and Director of the Aesthetics and Computation Group at the M.I.T. Media Lab. His media work and emerging philosophy have been profiled in the New York Times, Print, I.D., and numerous other publications worldwide. He is the recipient of the 1999 DaimlerChrysler Design Award for his contributions to visual culture and the author of Design by Numbers, an introductory text in computer science for the mathematically challenged.

Nicholas Negroponte is director of the M.I.T. Media Lab and author of the best-seller Being Digital.

Exquisite, and if it's a bit bloated we'll let that pass

I have nothing but respect for John Maeda.
He's one of those rare people who stands at the cusp of three or four disciplines - say graphic design, programming, information architecture, and fine art - and exerts a gentle gravitational attraction on the long-sundered fields. He's a true practitioner of what E.O. Wilson calls "consilience," and I find his work unfailingly beautiful.
"Maeda@Media" is a far more comprehensive introduction to and summary of his work than his earlier ""Design by Numbers." It is also an exquisitely produced volume, and if it is occasionally self-indulgent (spending 60-odd pages on a graphic that spells out "IT IS CUSTOMARY THAT THE SIDES OF A PAGE BE NEGLECTED IN FAVOR OF ITS FRONT AND BACK" on their edges) - well, I'll forgive that. It's a gorgeous tome.
Maeda is doing vital and inspiring work; this book should be a kick in the pants to all those of us who work in any of the disparate fields his work touches upon: only connect.

Very Inspirational ...

I have some programming skills and a budding web designer. I was really impressed with this body of work, especially considering the time frame it covers. The value for me was that the reader gets an understanding of what the "artist" has rendered. You you have read any of Paul Rand's essays, you can identify the significance of this work. This book is not a quick read, but a meal of ideas to be savored. I am still savoring this book, and it is really one of the best books I have enjoyed.

A Monument to Information Society

I have always been impressed with John Maeda's work: "Tap, Type, Write" is beautifully interactive, "Design By Numbers" is extremely innovative. Professor Maeda's newest endeavor, Maeda@Media is no different. It is a monument to Information Aesthetics and an icon for Information Society at large. The book itself, is painstakenly crafted with different types of papers. The images inside evoke a million poignant words. Professor Maeda's insights are invaluable. John Maeda uncovers a rare beauty in computing.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SERIES!!! (Might have minor spoilers)

Let me say that Danielle Bourdon had me hooked from "Heir Untamed"-- were it all started. The Wrath of the King was AMAZINGGG from the very 1st chapter. I had to apologize ahead of time to my husband and pooch that i would be screaming, laughing and crying because i knew i would and boy was i a hot mess.
Like I said from the beginning it was a rollercoaster, action packed and just kept getting better and better. Who would want to do such harm? Why?
This booked wrapped up King Dare's and Queen Chey's story :)
Danielle, thank you so much for such a wonderful series!!! This is my #1 Series :) so please tell me that there is more to come maybe a book on Mattias( who is his special someone, where was he throughout the book)? Maybe a book on Wynnie & her Hottie Man? Thank you once again!!

This book and series is AMAZING!

100++++++ Stars across the board!

I cannot sit here and say that I 'forgot' how great this series was or how I 'forgot' what a great author Danielle Bourdon is either. In fact, I cannot sit here and pretend to even say that I 'forgot' some of the storyline since the release of the 4th book in the series. Because, if I were to state all these things, I would simply be lying.

This series is a series you'll never forget. The characters all become a part of you and leave you with swaddled in a cocoon of warm and fuzziness. Bloody brilliant, I tell you!

This book in particular was just as great as the previous works by Danielle Bourdon. My only 'issue' (and that's a complete overstated use of a word, honestly) was that Mattias was away and no one could stop the crazy Paavo from being an evil bastard that he is! My heart broke for Chey and all of the dedication and devotion she showed to Sander during his time of need. After she was reunited with Sander, I wanted to beat Sander up (for the first time in allllllll the books combined; and I'm not talkin' sexually here either) because he wouldn't budge on his decision to address Paavo at once, as he demanded he do.

I really, honestly, thought that Wynn would have ended up with Mattias but it seems that isn't the case (sorry for the spoiler you Mattias and Wynn lovers!). But in the end, it was perfect how everything played out.

The way Danielle Bourdon displayed the amount of joy and affection that Sander provided over the birth of his son and his undying love for his wife, Chey, is breathtaking. It is simply beautiful.

And yes, I would be a liar if I sat here and said that this series could end, right here and now with this 5th book and I would be 'okay' with it. In fact, I'm not. I love this series sooooo damn much that I'm hoping there is more to come on others involved within the storyline so the story will just continue to live on and on and on and on and on and on and on and.. you get the picture. ;)

So what do you say Danielle Bourdon, will this lovely series that I adore so freakin' much continue on? Or, will you crush my book dreams and fantasies and end it with this being the last book of the series? My fingers are crossed (as well as my toes and I've even braided my stupid long hair in a criss-cross fashion!!) that you will continue on. I promise, I will TOOOOOTAAALLLY be your new BFF ;)

Not my usual genre.

I am not sure how I got hooked into the Latvala Royals series, but I read the first four books in rapid order and didn't even consider not ordering book five, The Wrath of the King. Even though I've enjoyed the series, I think the story has been told and I hope this was the last book.
While I would recommend reading it, it was not up to par with the previous novels.
Spoiler: I don't mind suspending reality a little, but I find it difficult to believe that if the king was in a coma, there wouldn't have been some specialist called in for consultation. No medical personnel at the palace when the birth of an heir is impending? A few too many things that didn't add up in this novel!
